Event Details
These days every enterprise is a software company. In the ongoing and accelerating race to innovate, compete, or even just to survive, companies must rapidly embrace a variety of technologies, tools, practices, and processes including microservices, PaaS, containerization, continuous delivery, devops, and more.
But how does one start with a raw infrastructure and get to the point of successful software delivery? The path isn’t clear.
This technical session, intended for developers, devops, and IT decision makers, provides an overview of the path enterprises are taking to get from a raw infrastructure to successful software delivery using microservices and PaaS, and shows how these tools have evolved to that point that it’s now possible to spin up an infrastructure, a PaaS, and a continuous delivery pipeline in hours, even minutes providing a formidable platform for modern software developer and delivery. We’ll look at challenges, pitfalls to avoid, and common microservices practices such as the circuitbreaker and bulkhead patterns to be aware of. We’ll also discuss the important role that a devops mindset and culture play in order to succeed.
